Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an exciting opportunity for a Summer Research Assistant in Lethbridge Research Centre.

These positions will be 3-4 months in duration, beginning in April/Maythrough to August 2019 with the potential to extend into the fall. The successful applicant will assist with corn breeding research activities. Duties are within various areas of corn breeding and yield test research including; data collection and breeding nursery pollination.

Qualifications

To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Avalid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the station is required

  • Enrollment in a post-secondaryprogram and an appreciation for agriculture and field research.

  • Must bewilling to work outdoors in various environments

  • Willingto work additional hours and Saturdays during peak periods and work well withothers in a team setting

  • Musthave the ability to work independently and with little supervision andeffectively lead people

  • Individualmust display a high degree of self-motivation and integrity

  • Previousresearch work and/or related farm work experience and farm machinery experienceis an asset
