Occupational Hygiene (OH) Consultant will serve as an independent technical resource to DuPont global employees with an emphasis in the EMEA region. Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in an Occupational Health affiliated field (Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Occupational Medicine) or another applicable technical field (chemistry, biology, engineering, physiology) preferably combined with a minimum of 7-10 years of direct experience in industrial/occupational hygiene and related fields.

  • Demonstrated advanced, applied knowledge of governmental and European S&OH regulations and ability to analyze technical and regulatory information and provide prudent recommendations to all levels within the company. Demonstrated experience in workplace risk assessments including:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop procedures that promote a safe and healthy workplace and minimize the potential for exposure to physical, chemical and biological hazards.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop corrective measures in order to control health hazards by either eliminating or reducing the exposure.

  • Technical competence, experience and demonstrated knowledge of managing programs in qualitative and quantitative exposure assessment, hazard communication, air monitoring, industrial ventilation, noise measurement, noise control and hearing conservation, respiratory protection, personal protective clothing, ergonomics, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, asbestos and other carcinogens, biosafety and heat stress monitoring and control.

  • Strong science background including chemistry, biology, physics and mathematics.

  • Demonstrated ability to participate in or lead process hazard reviews of new and existing equipment and process to ensure industrial hygiene issues are addressed.

  • Certification in occupational hygiene under a certification scheme recognized by the International Occupational Hygiene Association (IOHA).

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and presenting Safety & Health education programs for all levels of employees.

  • Ability to effectively serve as a team player and have strong interpersonal skills interpersonal and oral/written skills to communicate effectively within the organization and outside regulatory agencies.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines as well as manage change and work independently.

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize computer software (systems used are Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, intra/internet, etc.).

  • Multi-language skills including fluency in English.

  • Knowledge or experience in laboratory settings is desired.

  • Frequent travel between EMEA DuPont sites and occasional travel to non-EMEA region sites/customer facilities.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Required to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and respiratory protection) on an as-needed basis.

  • Need to work flexible hours.
