The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment, providing administrative and clerical support. The position requires an organized, self-motivated, flexible team player that is willing to learn new software programs. The assistant is expected to make independent decisions using good judgment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
Support managers infacilitating meetings, calendaring and arrangements.
Order/maintain office suppliesand office equipment
Maintain records in manual orelectronic systems linked to evolving technologies.
Support operating tools such asSAP, SRM, and unique local data.
Organize events; schedule andset up visits, meetings, training sessions, etc.
Accurately Word-process andedit reports, invoices, manuals, work orders, forms, procedures, generalcorrespondence; edit for correct usage and format
Use spreadsheet or databasesoftware to organize data and produce reports, graphs, andpresentations
Gather and compile information:safety, inventory, payments, production, vendor data, maintenanceactivity, etc.
Complete area safetyinspections as appropriate
Participate in problem-solvingor improvement teams.
Perform miscellaneous duties asmay be assigned
Thefollowing are required:
- Candidates must possess demonstrated secretarial skills by either:
Holding an advanced secretarial degree (either completion of a certificate program or attainment of an AAS degree in Secretarial Science from a 2 or 4 year college.)
Having a minimum high school diploma within business-related discipline and demonstrated clerical experience (minimum 5 years) including demonstrated experience in document production and business correspondence, spreadsheet/database operations and administrative clerical tasks.
Working knowledge ofoffice equipment
Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to quickly learn newsoftware programs.
Demonstrated ability to producehigh quality work with a focus on accuracy of content and form; strongattention to detail
Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills
Strong organizational skillswith the ability to multi-task
Ability to work with outsidecustomers/vendors and with all levels of the site organization.
Demonstrated excellentcommunication skills, both oral and written.
Demonstrated stronginterpersonal skills.
The following arepreferred:
An Associate’s Degree or higher
Familiarity with SAP or SRMoperating tools
