ROLE DEFINITION

The Carlsbad, CA site is looking to fill a Manufacturing Operations Analyst role that provides site manufacturing support for day-to-day operations, support global quoting process, ERP system administration, and customer service request support.

This individual will function as a technical resource that will drive new business and current production part quoting and process management using financial and engineering principles and tools. This includes gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and implementing improvement projects, while collaborating with sales, marketing, engineering and program management teams.

This person must have the organizational capability to work in multiple production parts, systems and processes and be able to communicate well with operators, customer service representatives, engineers, suppliers, and leadership. They must be able to lead multiple efforts in various areas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.

  • Perform complex data entry in ERP, MRP and other systems with a high level of speed and accuracy, including but not limited to P/N configuration management, routing, and BOM maintenance.

  • Gathers data from engineering, procurement, and other functions for cost and lead times analysis.

  • Maintains trackers and logs for manufacturing operations systems.

  • Understands business data standards, policies and procedures and applies them appropriately to data.

  • Maintains process documentation like SOPs and Work Instructions,

  • Manages request from different business units, including the sales team, and responds to those requests in a timely manner.

  • Provide assistance to manufacturing operations including troubleshooting of assembly issue, special testing and assistance in identifying root cause.

  • Lead and coach production personnel on process, equipment, and analytical approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

  • Carry out formal and timely manufacturability (DFM/DFT) review on all new products.

  • Develop new processes based on new technology requirements.

  • Leads audits for compliance and improvement.

  • Makes use of technical specialized knowledge to assist customers in resolving problems.

  • Assists and mentor team members.

  • Originates and improves technical documents and procedures.

  • Makes decisions as necessary to meet team and individual performance objectives with a continual improvement in performance.

  • Identifies alternatives to existing job tasks or processes and offers suggestions for improvement.

  • Studies best practices that can be applied to improve work tasks and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related technical field.

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with MRP systems.

  • Minimum of 5+ year’s relevant manufacturing experience. Knowledge of material and chemical mix manufacturing, including Radio Frequency testing (preferred).

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, or other change control processes

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Spanish a plus.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as internet research tools.

  • Experience working independently with minimal guidance.

  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience exercising mature judgment.

  • Able to provide technical guidance to manufacturing team members.

  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills.

The Pay range for this role is $53,900.00 - $84,700.00 Annual

Each role has an associated pay range (or an established pay rate for some roles) based on the competitive market in each country where we operate.
