The Electrical & Instrument Mechanic will repair and maintain electrical, instrument, and mechanical equipment. Typical duties of an Electrical & Instrument Mechanic include, but are not limited to:
Maintenance,troubleshooting, and repair of all instruments, distributed control systems(DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), monitoring systems, electrical,and pneumatic equipment in the facilities.
Primaryduties include: performing reactive and preventive maintenance duties on allmajor equipment and systems as well as emergency backup systems.
Workwithin the self-directed work teams/High Performance Work System (HPWS)framework.
Otherduties include maintaining complete equipment files, logs and update drawingsfor all designated equipment, forecast, inventory, and reorder spare parts tomaintain plant reliability as well as assist in physical inventories,inspecting, repairing, installing and removing all types of motors,transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal andcommunication systems.

This is a day shift role that will operate Monday-Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.
Thefollowing are required:
Atleast five years of work experience/education as an E&I technician/mechanicor related role
Musthave strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability towork well with others in a self-managed team environment. Must have the abilityto work self-directed, as well as apply creative solutions to unique E & Iproblems.
Mustbe skilled in the use and interpretation of computer historian data to aid introubleshooting control systems.
Mustbe skilled in the use of hand and power-driven tools as well as instrumentcommunicators and simulators and be able to work from P&IDs and schematics.
Willingand able to work overtime as required
Thefollowing are preferred:
- A degree from anaccredited Instrument/ Electrical Technician Program
