Manufacturing Technology Engineer (Job Number: 199823W-01)
The Kalrez® MT engineer provides primary "assistance to operations" support required to operate, maintain and improve all aspects of the polymer manufacturing process at Chambers Works. This position is located with DuPont’s Chambers Works Manufacturing site in Deepwater, New Jersey and will report to the Area Manager for FMDL.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Focused technical involvement to insure that process safety, as well as product quality and performance are maintained. Serves as a first response to plant technical issues and assists in trouble-shooting process or equipment issues.
Understanding the equipment and processes used in the manufacture of Kalrez® polymer.
Maintaining product recipes and Standard Operating Conditions in accordance with established practices and corporate safety standard requirements.
Interface with the Kalrez® parts manufacturing operation at Tralee Park to insure that product concerns are adequately addressed at the polymer manufacturing level.
Monitoring quality parameters and contributing to quality systems that aid Operations in making appropriate adjustments to process parameters to meet product specifications.
Troubleshooting process upsets and leading/participating in RCFA efforts for process safety and quality incident investigations, including for customer complaints.
Participating and/or leading Process Hazards Analyses.
Identifying minor and major process improvements and applying appropriate Management of Change (Technology & Facilities) systems to implements these improvements.
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (or other engineering discipline with relevant experience)
Minimum of 1-3 years industrial manufacturing experience with exposure to Process Safety Management (PSM) systems. 3-5+ years preferred.
Data based decision making and strong results driven/action oriented approach
Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude. Effectively move across organizational boundaries to achieve desired results and able to manage several competing priorities. Able to take a "hands-on" approach with operators and mechanics to drive change and get results.
Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive project
