Description

The Accounting Specialist performs operational accounting activities adhering to established policies and procedures.

Its main responsibilities are:

  • Performs monthly closing activities and account/system reconciliations using knowledge of financial processes, procedures and systems

  • Take full ownership in corporate financial reporting to meet statutory requirements and internal control standards

  • Prepares financial, statistical reports

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement in their area of functional expertise

  • Serves as first line of contact with internal and external resources

  • Diverse and general daily accounting follow up: reconciliations, accounting entries, reporting, etc.

  • Assistance to legal entity controller

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting

  • 4-5 years work experience in accounting. Experience in Big Four is highly desirable.

  • SAP and USGAAP knowledge/experience is a plus

  • Able to work independently, self-motivated and a team player

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good command of English

  • Computer proficient including MS Office skills (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint)
