Regional IT Leader EMEA – Safety and Construction (Job Number: ITB00001018)

As a member of the Global Safety and Construction IT&P Team, the role is responsible for representing IT in EMEA across all aspects and domains – manufacturing, marketing, sales, service, finance, supply chain, and R&D. This role is filled by someone who has a general view of all the areas in which IT has an impact from manufacturing through sell-side customer experiences. This individual is responsible for leveraging technology to enable the organization's future-state business capabilities, which can enable or alter business processes or practices that, in turn, drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.

This individual is the central business-facing contact point in EMEA for S&C IT&P and will coordinate with the global, regional, and local service delivery teams to ensure that the business requirements are met or exceeded. Also, the individual is responsible to representing the requirements of the EMEA user base, including country-specific regulations, to the Global S&C IT&P Team as well as leveraged IT&P teams.

This person needs to be fluent with the regional business and manufacturing processes, challenges, and opportunities as well as the current and future technical solutions. This person will be expected to plan or changes in the landscape (e.g., what’s the next generation shop floor) as well as how best to apply existing capabilities that may not be deployed (e.g., Cloudcraze on SFDC for sell-side storefronts). Fundamentally, this role allows our team to go on offense to create competitive advantage locally in the EMEA region.

This role will be in near a center in EMEA with some travel, potentially a significant amount as DuPont and Dow integrate to create SpecCo.

Scope of Activities:

  • Support business and technology innovation that drives the organization's top and bottom lines

  • Engage key business stakeholders to articulate improvements in end user computing and other domains and represent the business interests to our technology and architecture teams

  • Work with service delivery and key organizational stakeholders to define a plan for leveraging new capabilities for the end user and ensure they are deployed and supported correctly

  • Provide consultation to line-of-business (LOB) colleagues to help them use current and future technologies and services effectively

  • Consult with business-facing projects and maintain knowledge of their progress

  • Collaborate with other IT functional areas to remain apprised of project status, and inform LOB management of progress. Conversely, keep IT's technology and service managers aware of key LOB customer issues, identifying and resolving potential problems and conflicts



Demonstrated ability to:

  • Think strategically, translate strategic concepts to an executable plan, and design and implement the plan in support of that strategy

  • To manage complex relationships between business staff and IT suppliers, both internal and external

  • To find resolutions that benefit the research organization and are aligned with affordability

  • Understand impact of technology on operations practices and operator / maintenance staff skill requirements

  • Network effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Multi-task and set appropriate priorities

  • Demonstrated experience with computing solutions in a manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, or similar technical field

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects with discipline and active stakeholder engagement

Additional Requirements:

  • Flexibility to travel – up to 50% as projects and go-lives demand

  • 5-8 years of experience in IT (shop floor, process control, SAP) environment

  • Advanced degree in physical sciences, engineering, or mathematics is a plus

  • Security experience and certification as well as project management certification or equivalent experience are also plusses
