Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont™ has an exciting opportunity for a ActiveSense System Senior Product Manager (Category Lead). The position will be based in Indianapolis.

The purpose of the ActiveSense Category Lead (Product Manager) is to scale-up and accelerate the growth of the ActiveSense platform. This role will lead the development and growth plans for ActiveSense, an IoT platform consisting of sensors, software, and predictive analytics, designed to help the pest management industry address key needs in protecting public health and food safety. This role will lead the creation of a new category in the $8.6 Billion Pest Management Service Industry, focusing on delivering preventative pest management through predictive analytics.

Responsibilities and End Results

  • Define product vision, roadmap, and requirements based on market needs and opportunities.

  • Create and implement robust marketing plans incorporating market research voice of the customer, segmented value pricing and a multi-generation product development vision.

  • Provide monthly and annual demand and financial forecasting.

  • Implement the Promotion & Advertising (P&A) budget, prioritization and allocation processes in collaboration with the Communications manager to ensure budget resources are allocated in alignment with portfolio, product and communications strategies.

  • Develop and implement internal and external facing marketing and training programs that are effective and easy to execute.

  • Innovate to maximize business performance through internal process improvements and value creation with customers.

  • Enable sales team success in achieving business and sales goals by identifying and resolving issues and by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in the continued development and management of the business.

  • Identify unmet needs and opportunities in the value chain and build business cases supporting the necessary investment in development resources to create products and services to meet those needs.

  • Deep understanding and management of the ActiveSense P&L and continually identify ways to increase the revenue and the profitability of the portfolio.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge

  • Capable of being on the leading edge of IoT technologies and developing a vision for expanding the ActiveSense platform.

  • Firm understanding and knowledge of the Professional Pest Management industry and the highly regulated food safety requirements.

  • Leads the team in the area of learning technology and abstract product offerings including the sale of “knowledge”.

  • Strong team player with excellent project management skills.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 year college degree preferably in an engineering, business or marketing discipline; MBA or MS degree preferred.

  • 5-10 years of commercial experience, ideally with experience in IoT, product marketing, public health, and food safety

  • Valid U.S. Drivers license with a safe driving record.

  • Must work well in a team environment to ensure alignment with sales, marketing, and business and supply chain teams.

  • Must have the capability to engage with sales teams and customers to collect input, influence and gain support.

  • Must have the capability to manage cross-functional relationships.

  • Must be able to assert influence without direct authority.

  • Must have group facilitation and communication skills to achieve unified team efforts.
