Emergency Response Specialist (Job Number: 200151W-01)
Our LaPorte, TX site is seeking four Emergency Response Specialists to provide industrial HAZMAT Emergency Response incident command leadership, training, and technical competency oversight for shift emergency services personnel. In this highly visible role, you will provide emergency services and 1st party fire auditing support to DuPont LaPorte plant in order to implement and improve the performance of the organization and to meet customer needs in a way that meets Regulatory Compliance for safe and efficient operation of the site. This is a DuPont 12 hour shift schedule (meaning every month you will receive an 8 day break) that supports a 24/7 operation. Come make an impact in this new role with DuPont!
This position will beresponsible for, but not limited to:
· Managing Emergencies- fire, medical, fume, HAZMAT, dry runs, storm/weather
· Leading people including their development and rehabilitation when they require additional oversight - ERT, SEMT, Contractors
· Ensures maintenance of systems in compliance with applicable regulatory standards and codes- sprinkler, smoke detection, HALON, CO2, fire main, emergency response equipment
· Audits- life safety and fire protection
· External Contacts for off-site complaints (odor, noises, etc), state agencies (spills, releases).
· Provides guidance to manufacturing areas without shift supervisor as needed.
· Training – Emergency response team in-service, Area Hazardous Chemical Coordinator, and CPR, escape mask, fire extinguisher (for all site employees).

In order to be qualifiedfor this role, you must possess the following:
HighSchool Diploma or HSE/GED
ProBoardor IFSAC certification as Fire Fighter II, Fire Officer II, NFPA 472 Haz-MatTechnician, and NFPA 1006 Confined Space/Rope Rescue Technician. ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, and 800.
TexasLicensure as an Emergency Medical Technician
5-10years of experience in an emergency response operations environment
Basicknowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PP
Excellentverbal and written communication skills
The following arepreferred:
ChemicalPlant, Refinery or Marine Emergency Response experience
IncidentSafety Officer, Fire Inspector, Fire instructor certification
Knowledgeof Texas Fire Marshall Codes, OSHA1910.120 and 1910.146 regulations, and NFPA standards, standard practices, andstandard operating procedures relative to fire and life safety.
