As Corporate Communications Manager, you are responsible for supporting and executing the global, regional and country-specific corporate communications strategies in Germany, involving external and internal audiences.
You will manage media relations and issues and crisis communications in collaboration with global and regional communications teams, country and business leadership.
You will contribute to strategy, priorities and activities of Corporate Communications in the region and provide ongoing input to team tools and processes.
You will provide strategic input and expert support to top level management in the country, and execution of country and regional communications strategies.
The role requires flexibility and ability to apply expert knowledge to a variety of businesses, functions, industries. You are a creative, collaborative, results-oriented professional who is particularly adept at balancing multiple priorities and issues and being decisive.

Strategic Business Partner:
Public Engagement and Media Relations: in alignment with global and regional strategies, responsible for developing and executing external communications and media relations strategies in the country. Involves proactive engagement and relationship management with local and national stakeholder groups and journalists, media monitoring and reporting. Key contact for all country media inquiries. Responsible for media preparation of leaders in country and for developing messages, statements, briefings, press releases, social media, speeches for leadership and other timely communications
Internal & Employee Communications: in alignment with global and regional strategies, responsible for delivering regular contributions to DuPont internal communications channels. Responsible for developing and localizing messages for key internal audiences in country, supporting change management. Prepare internal briefings, presentations and townhalls for visiting senior leaders
Issues & Crisis Communications: monitor the environment for all issues (news media, internet, NGOs, key opposition groups, etc.); manage and file issue reports in a timely manner. Support regional crisis leader on processes and tools to assure crisis preparedness, including team drills, communication training, table-top exercises. Member of local crisis management team. Support businesses on crisis communications, providing local guidance
Positioning and Branding: Promote and ensure consistency of corporate brand message with external and internal audiences in the country, including traditional and new media
Identify, develop and execute communications strategies in Germany to promote and defend DuPont
Reports directly to International Corporate Communications Leader in U.S.
Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s degree preferred in journalism, public relations or communications
Several years of working experience in a corporate communications role writing, editing and executing communications strategies, in or with multinational organizations
Public relations agency experience appreciated
Strong team player with excellent planning and organizational skills and a strong hands-on mindset
Experience developing and executing internal and external communications strategies and providing communications counsel to leadership
Proven experience building business relationships at all levels of the organization
Ability to excel in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Experience in handling complex change management communications a plus
Computer and social media literacy is critical
Ability to act with initiative and independence
Fluency in verbal and written communications in German and English are required
Office-based environment which requires some travel (25%) depending on the area covered and needs of the company
