The Inside Technical Sales Support Specialist will support the Food Enzymes business and will interface with current and prospective customers as well as the sales and marketing teams. The portfolio you will cover will be made up mostly of food enzymes for protein hydrolysis, and other food processing needs, with a potential to cover a few other ingredients in this space as needed. The successful candidate will possess good communication, organization, and customer focused skills. The individual who will excel in this role will be energetic, comfortable communicating verbally and through written communication and be an effective team player.

  • Support Sales and Marketing for the North America Team

  • Assistance, customer communication and follow-up with the responsible sales or group manager and linking to all required departments. Examples of types of follow up include:

Customer requests

  • Opportunities

  • Forecasting volumes (order planning)

  • Sampling

  • Complaints or customer concerns

  • Pricing

  • Price handling within different IT systems, price quotations, preparation etc.

  • Support of inter-regional marketing activities and focused Industry events

  • Supporting sales with customer correspondence, documentation, sampling, etc.

  • Support of local business development activities, specifically using SF.com

  • Involvement in rebate, credits and debits and supporting finance to follow up on overdues

Qualifications

  • BS in business or technical degree preferred (food technology is an advantage)

  • Commercial work experience is an advantage

  • Minimum of 2 years business to business customer service

  • Excellent communication (strong interpersonal) skills with (external) customers and internal partners

  • High degree of customer focus

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)

  • Knowledge of DuPont N&H systems such as SAP, Vendavo, Service Cloud and SF.com

  • Team spirit, flexibility, independence and organizational skills

  • Time management, concentration and cross functional team skills a must

  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills

The role can be located in one of the following major IB sites: New Century, KS or Rochester, New York.
