The Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary Corteva contact for the strategic third party warehouse and logistics service providers. This role will work closely with the providers to ensure efficiency and the delivery of a quality product to the customers. The Logistics Coordinator will also be responsible for working cross-functionally and with external partners to effectively address and resolve any issues that may arise throughout the season. This position will play a key role in working closely with site and company leadership to execute on strategic shipping and inventory plans.
Position duties will include:
Provide support and serve as primary contact tothird party warehouse and logistics service providers (LP)
Make certain LP’s provide service in a mannerconsistent with Pioneer’s Core Values, Quality Policy, and applicable policiesand procedures
Provide input for the development of strategicsourcing and logistics planning
Work closely with cross-functional teams tooversee the coordination of moving seed from production facilities to thirdparty locations in an efficient manner that meets budget targets and businesstimelines
Prioritize shipment and inventory plans to meetbusiness needs and deadlines
Closely monitor shipping and inventory metricsto deliver and report against goals to key stakeholders
Understand the business strategy to build anddeliver on budgets
Take on additional responsibilities as needed tosupport the New Madrid production facility
Tobe qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
High School Diploma
1-2 years of shipping, transportation, inventorymanagement, or logistics experience in a production agriculture or plantoperations environment or equivalent production process experience
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills, including professional telephone skills
Strong computer skills
Experience with SAP/R3
Willing and able to work both outdoors andindoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions
Willingness and ability to work overtime hoursincluding weekend work required during seasonal peaks and different shifts asneeded
Valid driver’s license
Ability to multitask with a high attention todetail
Ability to travel, with some overnight stays
