The Ukrainian organization is currently looking for a Regional Sales Agronomist, that will provide technical support to the Seed sales team and customers in the assigned region.

Main Purpose of the Job

  • Comprehensive training for assigned regional Team (Agents/Promoters/Sales Representatives, Territory Sales Managers) in Product Knowledge and Agronomy basics.

  • In coordination with Regional Sales Manager lead product positioning in region based on Product agronomy characteristics and competitive product knowledge.

  • Drive field trials, GrowingPoints, wide assortment trials to prepare product and Agronomy knowledge basis for Pioneer team in region, develop effective technological solutions and thus increase loyalty to the brand and Corteva services. Lead implementation of new agronomy services in region.

  • Coordinate Demo and SbS activity of Sales representatives in region including control on consistency and quality of plots.

  • Support sales team via participation in customer seminars, personal visits of customers together with Sales Representatives, support in solving most difficult claim cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide regular hi-quality agronomic and product education and trainings to support Corteva sales (i.e. Corteva Technology Academy) for assigned Regional Team:

  • Identify needs of customers and support Sales Representatives in developing solutions to satisfy needs with best commercial and loyalty outcome to the company. Suggest ways for business improvement. Actively contribute to analyze regional market needs + suggest changes or improvements.

  • Conducts field trials (Demo/SBS/Growing points) with defined key accounts to maximize Corteva exposure and Corteva technology penetration rate. Results gathering/analyzing/dissemination to team and Category Product Managers.

  • Provide Agronomy Bridge and expertize between Product Management/R&D/Breeders and drive technological hi-tech in-depth product and tech knowledge with Sales Team in region.

  • Collaborates in verifying technical positioning of new products/competitors; analyze product performance in various conditions to support the right hybrid and CPP product positioning to optimize performance, attends Biology reviews to understand, represent, and support local customer needs to R&D Networks.

  • Serve as agronomic and technology partner resource to Area and Territory KA Sales Managers and KA Tech Sales Specialists to resolve difficult customer concerns and complaints.

  • Provide timely agronomic information to the sales team to support the sales effort.

  • Prepare product performance summaries for use by sales force and CU Marketing team; support in creating promo materials (articles, photo).

  • Analyze and interpret agronomy research results. Provide written agronomy research summaries that can be used to support product management, positioning, and field sales training.

  • Cooperate with R&D specialists and breeders, if need, accompany them during their visit to Ukraine, collect/analyze/share the information.

  • Ensuring proper product stewardship and compliance with EH&S, sales processes and company policies. Drive best safety and internal policy practices by self-example.


  • Higher degree in agronomy/crop protection.

  • 5-8 years of experience in agronomy. Good knowledge of local Ag markets.

  • Autonomy, proactivity.

  • Highly developed organizational skills; attention to procedure and detail.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in a multi-disciplinary, team-based working environment.

  • Ability to negotiate at high levels and excellent presentation skills.

  • Awareness of environmental, regulatory, and stewardship issues of Pioneer & DuPont competitive products at the local/regional level.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; training experience will be considered as a plus.

  • Conflict resolution and handling objections.

  • Fluent Ukrainian is a must; Min Intermediate level of English is required.

  • Valid driving license and driving experience; willingness to extensive traveling.
