The DuPont Spruance site is seeking multiple Administrative Assistants for our Safety & Construction Team located in Richmond, VA. If you are a reliable self-starter who is creative, hardworking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, then this is the opportunity for you!

Typical duties of an Administrative Assistant include, but are not limited to:

  • Providesecretarial services to the Plant Manager, Plant Staff, Marketing, Plant,Technical, and SBU Management.

  • Manageoffices to maximize the effectiveness of each individual in their job. Thisincludes anticipating management needs and taking care of tasks in advance.

  • Assumeresponsibility without direct supervision and exercise initiative and judgmentwithin the scope of assigned authority.

  • Exercisejudgment and discretion in handling all phases of their assignment.Maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Providevacation and disability coverage for other admins

  • Manageand maintain various sites including, but not limited to CPass, Area Stars, andSharePoint.

  • Manage,maintain, and expense corporate cellphone accounts and PO- Pagers for the site.

  • Workwith the Business Ethics Coordinator to follow up within the organization andhelp achieve compliance deadlines.

  • Actas the Spruance site time, vacation, and conference room administrator

  • SRM/SAPprocuring PO’s for training, vendor services, vendor invoices, memo orders,consultants PO’s.

  • Managedaily office task such as: Schedule/monitor meetings as needed, mail, answeringphones, copier support, troubleshoot computer issues or needs, reset passwords,reset accounts, and request access to system applications and MyAccess

  • Coordinatorbusiness interviews with candidates by arranging travel accommodations,scheduled time for the interview, overnight stays, and procurement of necessarydocuments.

  • Orderoffice supplies as needed

  • Assistwith customer visits, vendor visits – scheduling needs such as: conference roomprocurement, catering needs, entering them into the database for visitingpurposes, provide escort and travel arrangements.

  • Back-upheadcount and update communicate emergency procedures.

  • Coordinateoffice moves including telephone, PC, furniture, and other requests as needed.

  • Set-upof new contractor groups on site:Procurement of office space, conference rooms, scheduled meetings,phones, copiers, visitor’s setup in the system, system applications.

  • Createpresentations, data analysis, and XMS Reports for business leaders.

  • Performother duties as directed by supervision and/or support to all businessleadership as needed.

Qualifications

The following are required:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 3+ years ofadministrative experience OR related educational experience

  • Demonstratedability to work with other office & technical, managerial, and professionalresources as a team to accomplish administrative tasks and provide total officesupport.

  • Demonstratedability to maintain professionalism in all interactions including those withother employees, senior management, customers, and other non-companyrepresentatives.

  • Ability tonavigate through a PC, the tools of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.),and learn new computer software systems

  • Good oral and written communication

  • Willing and able to work flexible hours as needed toaccommodate events

  • Willing and able to travel occasionally for large out ofsite group events

  • Willing and able to maintain strict confidentiality.

  • Experience with organizing customer events/ group meetingsinternally and externally

  • Experience managing vendors (set up, payment, etc.including, for example, office supplies)

  • Good time management, planning, multitasking, andorganization skills

The following are preferred:

  • An Associate’s Degree or higher

  • Previous experience with SAP, Concur, SharePoint, Workday,or MyAccess
