ROLE DEFINITION

Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Coordinator is focused on the frontline support and improvement of the MES system(s) to ensure reliable performance and implementation of new capabilities. They have two main areas of responsibility. First, supporting the user with training, troubleshooting, workflows, reports and system maintenance and updates. Second, they collaborate with IT and vendors and coordinate project assignments related to configuration, improvements, implementation, testing and support. The MES Coordinator will also help manufacturing decision makers understand how current conditions on the plant floor can be optimized to improve production output.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION  ​

  • Train new and existing users

  • Partner with IT to ensure system configuration and uptime

  • Implement methodologies and processes for reporting performance metrics

  • Develop and implement process improvements by actively participating on cross functional teams

  • Perform testing to ensure developmental needs meet functional requirements

  • Formulate and maintain MES procedures and documentation

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • HS Diploma or GED (Required)

  • 5 - 7 years experience in Manufacturing Environment (Required)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Client / Server programming principles and methodologies.

  • Familiar with Object Oriented programming principles and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of MS Visual Studio / VB.Net and/or Sun UDS (Forte’) application development environment.

  • Knowledge of Relational Databases such as SQL Server or Oracle.

  • Have strong developer skills (.NET, SQL Server)

  • 2-year technology degree or equivalent preferred
