To meet ongoing customer program development demands, our Application Development Center-Troy, MI is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Injection Molding/Blow Molding Technician.

DuPont T&AP is seeking a dynamic, ambitious and reliable individual who has related experience in the plastics industry. We are looking for an individual who is safety minded and has demonstrated scientific injection molding and blow molding processing experience. Fundamental knowledge in handling and processing a wide variety of thermoplastic engineered materials is strongly desired.

Key operating tasks are the SAFE operation of molding machines, molds and auxiliary equipment in effort to rapidly produce functional prototype parts used toward customer program development.



  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 2+ years of plastic processing experienceincluding, but not limited to, injection and/or blow molding processing (trainingor equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable). Preferred 5 years of molding experience,preferred blow molding experience.

  • Fundamental knowledge of proper handling,processing and troubleshooting of thermoplastic engineered materials. Preferredknowledge of processing PBT, PET, PA, LCPA, PPA, and POM.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to SAFELY operate equipment in accordancewith applicable procedures.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to effectivelyinterface with customers, researchers, sales representatives, and manufacturingpersonnel.

  • Excellent oral and written communicationskills with focus on timely and accurate project documentation.

  • Above average mechanical aptitude withability to maintain, troubleshoot, and perform light repairs on equipment.

  • Able to SAFELY use overhead cranes to handle, set and remove dies.

  • Desire proficiency with non-automatedmilling, turning, grinding and cutting equipment used for fabrication.

  • Ability to SAFELY and effectively operate a variety of injection moldingmachines and auxiliary equipment.

  • Computer proficiency with MS Office suite.

  • Willing and able to use a forklift and obtaina license OR learn how to use a forklift and obtain a license.


  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods oftime regularly.

  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up toten (10) pounds, frequently lift and /or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds andoccasionally lift up to fifty (55) pounds.

  • While performing the duties of the job, theemployee is regularly exposed to bending, lifting, reaching, pushing and/orpulling.

  • Whileperforming the duties of the job, the employee regularly uses both manual andpowered hand tools (electrical and air powered).
