Delegated Supplier Quality Representative- $1,500 Sign On Bonus (Job Number: 201393W-08)


DuPont Engineering Polymers is currently seeking a Delegated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR) to join our Valley View team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the management of customer programs and other relevant functions, with respect to the quality of components, sub-systems, and product-related services provided by DuPont, Valley View. This support includes acting as liaison to government and customer representatives, advanced quality planning, establishing goals and targets for improvement and coordinating all Quality functions as they relate to specific programs. Utilize your analysis skills in this role by generating and maintaining driver metrics, supporting customer meetings and overseeing quality improvement programs. You will also be responsible for flow-down of quality requirements and customer specifications to both hourly and salary associates.

Our picturesque Valley View site is located near Interstate 77, Interstate 480, and the Ohio Turnpike, south of Cleveland. Our clean and air-conditioned facility employs about 135 people and manufactures compression molded; close tolerance machined composite parts for aerospace and specialty industrial applications. This position will beresponsible for, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement elementsof APQP to include (but not limited to) Contract review, product andprocess quality plans, and standard work, that assure conformance to allcustomer and regulatory requirements. Actively seek opportunitiesfor process improvement (poka-yoke, control plans, etc.).Support gauge R&R evaluations, process capability, and product capabilityevaluations, along with improvement efforts for new parts.

  • Audit processes to assurecompliance to Quality practices and work instructions throughout thefacility. Assure inspection and test is effective and efficient inmitigating quality risks. Facilitate and support the CertifiedOperator Process and customer audits.

  • Initiate, monitor, and execute Qualityimprovement programs/events to align with and achieve goals and objectivesand customer ratings improvements.

  • Develop, maintain and providequality metrics as required as a means to facilitate positive proactivechange. Data-mine and analyze non-conformance data, CAPA responses,escapes data and other sources of data, to identify CI opportunities anddrive CI as appropriate.

  • Plan, lead, and facilitateQuality Improvement Teams and other periodic quality focused meetings,assuring timely completion of actions. Support Quality Council withanalysis of issues and recommendations for corrective and preventiveaction.

  • Prepare and facilitate FirstArticle Inspection and Software Quality Assurance (SQA) first pieceverification audits.

  • Execute final product release.

  • Support the review ofmanufacturing planning documentation.

  • Work with Supplier Quality tofacilitate corrective and preventive action relative to supplier qualityproblems and source inspection issues.

  • Issue stop tags / hold tagswhere conditions warrant. Initiate and follow up on stock purges andline checks.

  • Support ManufacturingEngineering in the design of fixturing and gauging. Identify andacquire inspection and test equipment / gauging needed to achieve targetquality levels. Update inspection and test techniques to improveproductivity / accuracy and eliminate inconsistencies through developmentof standards of acceptability. Support the MRB / Quality ClinicProcess to identify opportunities for sustainable systems and productimprovement.

  • Work in a nonsmoking facility.

The following arerequired:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturingenvironment

  • Previous customer serviceexperience

  • Previous experience withISO9001, AS9100, or a similar system

  • Proficiency with basicinspection hand tools and gauging techniques

  • Must have or being willing toobtain ASQ-CQT certification

  • General proficiency with PCsincluding, but not limited to, Microsoft Office

  • Willing and able to workovertime as needed

The following arepreferred:

  • BS in Engineering

  • Lean manufacturing and / or SixSigma experience

  • FMEA

  • Control plan skills

  • Experience in Aerospaceindustry

  • SAP Experience

  • Knowledge of APQP (AdvancedProduct Quality Plan)
