ROLE DEFINITION
Our Valley View site (Valley View, Ohio) and Stow Works site (Stow, Ohio) have immediate openings for Production Technicians. Both sites manufacture heat and wear resistant aerospace composite parts for both commercial and military airplane applications.
These positions perform various operations necessary to produce aerospace parts, adhering to all applicable company rules and regulations, legal regulations, and standards (AS9100D) while also meeting production schedules. Everyday performance of duties in this position must be done in an ethical manner with safety as the primary responsibility.
Both the Valley View and Stow Works sites are, clean, climate controlled light manufacturing facilities.
The Valley View positions work first, second, or third shift. The Stow Works positions work a rotating 12-hour shift. Both sites may work holidays, weekends, and overtime and offer shift premium and holiday pay when applicable.
Shift Pay:
Starting wages range from $21.60 to $25.34 hourly pay rate. A $2.00/hr. shift premium is offered to the base pay for rotating shifts. Non-rotating shifts receive an additional $2.50/hr. between 3:00pm-7:00am
Bonus Details:
You will receive two bonus payments of $500 payable after 30 and 90 days of employment. Upon completing onboarding/training and 90 days of employment, you will be eligible for a $500 hiring bonus that is contingent on having reliable attendance and meeting your training expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
Ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures and standard equipment instructions.
Operate presses, ovens, and basic assembly equipment.
Visually inspect final product for defects, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and adherence to customer specifications.
Use inspection gages, i.e. micrometers, calipers, automated gages (Keyence) and templates.
Complete in-house training to obtain visual and dimensional inspection stamps.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required.
2+ years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and 5S organizational practice is preferred.
Successful candidates will need to be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation, including the following:
Willing and able to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
Willing and able to wear a respirator.
