Role Summary

The Applications Innovation Leader’s role is to plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications, and third-party/bolt-on solutions centered around our future world class ERP using S/4HANA, as required to meet the business requirements of the organization.

This individual will oversee testing of the interoperability of application modules under development by in-house software development teams, commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization, and with external third parties or bolt-on solution providers as necessary. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Orchestrate integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams.

  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.

  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new application integration technology into the existing ecosystem.

  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.

  • Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision.

  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in developing resilient and robust architectures for large and complex implementations, building conceptual, logical and solution architectures for evolving and steady state business needs, providing architecture oversight during implementation, solution design, involving core ERP, Trade, Financial, Planning, EDI, Tax, B2B, and B2C applications and or data integration, subject to specific role requirement

  • 7+ years of extensive experience working with large application vendors like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, and SaaS providers like Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow

  • 7+ years of experience years of application portfolio management and planning experience -- ideally as a solution architect or technical -consulting project lead on value chain & innovation initiatives

  • Enterprise-wide understanding of business processes, systems & data -- ideally in Fortune 500 multi-national companies

  • Understanding of Agile / Six Sigma / Lean Methodologies

  • 5-7 years of direct experience in developing/implementing enterprise-level applications

  • Proven experience in overseeing the linking of cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.

  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.

  • Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering.

  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated integration tools

  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques.

  • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies.

  • Competency with XML constructs and schemas.

  • Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST.

  • Knowledge of network protocols and standards

  • Strong understanding of end-user needs and requirements.

  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
