DuPont Protection Solutions is seeking a Key Account Manager to grow Kevlar® sales within the North America Life Protection market segment. The Key Account Manager will maintain and expand relationships with large strategic partners, as well as mid-sized growth customers, that serve the North America Law Enforcement and Military Ballistic segments. The role is responsible for representing the comprehensive ballistic portfolio of the Life Protection business and serves as the key facilitator during DuPont’s cross-functional engagements with key customer accounts.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work with the value chain to extend DuPont’s value proposition across critical accounts in order to maximize business results, increase brand awareness, and grow revenues in the Life Protection market segment

  • Create detailed account plans and contact strategies in a way that enhances cross-functional collaboration across the enterprise

  • Develop a pipeline of targeted opportunities that promotes and secures Kevlar® as a significant component of the customer’s portfolio

  • Create strategies that generate pull-through demand for DuPont™ Kevlar® solutions with body armor manufacturers and other critical end users/agencies

  • Collaborate with DuPont technical and marketing team members, as well as key value chain partners, to address market needs and RFPs emerging for law enforcement and military segments

  • Embrace the Challenger selling approach via skill development and execution through the use of the established Challenger infrastructure within DPS

The position currently reports to the North America Sales Leader - Aramids. Location preference is the Mid-Atlantic region either home based or working from either Spruance in Richmond, VA or the Wilmington office locations. The role is expected to travel approximately 40 - 50% across the US and Canada.

Relocation: Will be considered based on the successful candidate’s location

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors of Science Degree (MBA Preferred).

  • Results Oriented: 3-5 years of Sales experience strongly preferred; military, law enforcement, or advanced materials experience a plus

  • Building Sustainable Relationships: Ability to quickly secure the confidence and trust of others when facing the customer and within DuPont

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to influence key stakeholders both internal and external

  • Strong professional presence, business acumen and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop an execution plan

  • Experience with sales pipeline/opportunity management tools

  • Highly autonomous with the ability to work in a matrix environment

  • Demonstrated ability to drive collaborative alignment across the team
