Logistics Specialist - Road & Warehouse (Job Number: 199846W-01)


Responsible for the administration and coordination of assigned activities related to warehouse management and 3PL services for all aspects of contract implementation and management between DuPont and supplier to ensure provisions are followed properly and in accordance with contract clauses.

Key Responsibilities

Liaison between business unit supply chain and suppliers (warehouses, 3PL partners, etc. to ensure business requirements are communicated and monitored.

Ensures that contract provisions are implemented efficiently and effectively, including receipt of service for payment, cost control and issue resolution.

Activities may include participating in contract negotiations, renewals, and modifications with the buyer.

May assist in the process of contractor selection. May assist in the development of scopes of work, job estimates, and shutdown schedules.

Ensures supplier compliance to all aspects of contract terms, including safety, environmental, health, quality, delivery, supplies, and pricing. Monitors company performance relative to contractual obligations.

Coordination of warehouse participation to comply with business and regulatory requirements such as safety audits, inventory cycle counts, contingency planning and state regulation compliance.

Conducts business and performance reviews with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure business needs and objectives are being met.

  • Bachelor of Science degree or supply chain, logistics, business, legal, or related area​

  • 5 + years of business experience in warehousing​, logistics, distribution, packaging, inventory, vendors

  • Experience in Microsoft suite including SharePoint​

  • Advanced Excel Skills a plus​

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification a plus

Skills and Knowledge

  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective plans​

  • Knowledge of commodity area and associated legal language​

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills ​

  • Effective oral and written communications skills and the ability to present information to all levels in the organization

  • Proven ability to monitor and manage multi tasks with precision and detail​

  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and purchasing suites​

  • High ethical standards
