DuPont has an exciting opening for North America Benefits Leader. We’re looking for an experienced Benefits Professional with US and Canadian health and welfare expertise to be responsible for the strategy, design and administration of DuPont’s North America benefit programs.

In order to excel, you’ll be both a strategic and practical thought leader, finding ways to enhance the employee value proposition, reduce costs where feasible, improve processes, and manage high performing, efficient and value adding vendor relationships. You’ll also develop collaborative relationships with others in the HR, Legal, M&A, Labor Relations, Finance, Tax, Procurement and Business Management areas.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic thinker responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of competitive, cost-effective programs and flawless processes that align with the overall Global Rewards, HR, and business strategy and objectives.

  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to design and evolve health and welfare programs for the US and Canada.

  • Stay current on emerging marketplace trends and practices.

  • Select and manage vendors, consultants, and carriers; ensuring these partners meet performance expectations; evaluating and negotiating contracts.

  • Monitors costs, employee satisfaction and engagement levels, claim trends and other key statistics, recommending appropriate changes to deliver optimal results.

  • Ownership of annual benefits PO.

  • Oversight for 5500s and completion of all required filings / notices (SARS, SPDs, SMMs).

  • Responsible for compliance with respect to all benefit programs. This includes, but is not limited to, ERISA, ACA, Pension Protection Act, Internal Revenue Code, FLSA.

  • Coordinate with Benefits Operations Manager on Annual Enrollment, onboarding and offboarding benefit processes, and similar change event administration.

  • Responsible for administration of US tuition program and identifying ongoing process improvement opportunities.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with HR, Legal, M&A, Labor Relations, Finance, Tax, Procurement and Business Management.

  • Provide support for M&A activity, including levels of benefits due diligence, integration and change management.

  • Provide leadership, direction, training, mentorship, development, and support to team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, master’s degree and/or CEBS certification preferred.

  • Generally 7+ years of relevant and progressive professional employee benefits experience, including strategic oversight of complex self-insured and large group insurance programs

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. benefit plan design, administration, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong financial acumen and quantitative skills and the ability to use data analysis to derive insights and support fact-based decision making.

  • Experience with Canadian benefit plans strongly preferred.

  • Ability to support business processes related to benefits; negotiate contract renewals and costing of new business proposals.

  • Ability to build relationships, partner and influence outcomes across human resources, finance, operations business leaders and senior management.

  • Ability to analyze complex situations, determine root cause and resolve accordingly and within the guidelines of legal parameters, benefit plan rules, and Company policy.

  • Excellent administrative, organization and interpersonal skills; ability to support all levels of the organization.

  • Strong working knowledge of US Federal regulations (ERISA), Internal Revenue Code (IRC), Department of Labor (DOL) and other regulatory agencies that impact benefit programs.

  • Competency in MSOffice suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
