SHE Applications Specialist (Job Number: 194749W-01)


This Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Applications Consultant will provide technical support of SHE applications required to satisfy compliance obligations. This role will initially be involved with supporting the integration of heritage Dow SHE applications into the Specialty Products Division. This position combines strong systems knowledge, project management, change management skills and teamwork with systems development capabilities. As a member of the project team, initial activities include:

  • Evaluating thefunctionality of heritage Dow EHS applications/tools and planning thetransition of users to Reliance modules or other Dupont applications thatoffer the same or similar functionality.

  • Work with Dow resources toconduct required BIT and/or USAT testing.

  • Developing and deliveringnecessary training materials to ensure a successful transition.

  • Identifying andimplementing Reliance and other application enhancements to improve userexperience/interface.

  • Developing the most cost-effectivesolution for applications that are not directly translatable to Reliance orother DuPont applications minimizing the need for SLAs.

The scope of this assignment applies to guidelined SHE Data Systems utilized to support the corporate SHE function.

This person has the ability to propose and implement solutions to address corporate and business or site SHE issues based on feedback from SMEs and the user community.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to thefollowing:

  • Ensuring successful migration of required hDow applications to enablemeeting integration plan timeline.

  • Managing application improvement work processes.

  • Managing application training content, including creation anddelivery.

  • Coordination with regional support resources for Reliancework processes.

  • Monitoring and managing system interfaces with Reliancemodules.

  • Supporting the SHE & OE Critical Operating Tasks (COTs)


  • BS (or higher) in: Information Technology, Computer Science,Engineering or similar (5-10 years of related experience preferred)

  • Project leadership experience

  • Six Sigma certified preferred (Green Belt or Black Belt)

  • Developer experience preferred (design, scripting)

  • Strong communicator (written / presenting / training /listening)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
